Recreational
Aereo Gymnastics offers Recreational programs for all ages and abilities on Tuesday, Thursdays and Saturdays. Gymnasts are taught a variety of skills on a range of apparatus. Safety at Aereo Gymnastics is priority at all times. All recreational classes at Aereo are taught by Ontario Gymnastics Federation certified coaches, with a minimum certification of Level 1. Coaches in training may be used to assist the supervising coach.
Gymnastics is a strong developer of fundamental skills, including agility, balance and co-ordination helping to develop active, healthy children. Basics in gymnastics help to create foundations for a variety of different sports.
Programs
Parent & Tot
Drop in play session for toddlers (18 months to 4 years) and parents.
This fun filled 90 minute session provides an introduction into sport and gymnastics. The class is unstructured and we allow parents to spend the hour and half session taking the children to explore our exciting gym.
Tumble Tots
Structured gymnastics class for chiildren between the ages of 18months and 3 years old
This 1 hour class provides a basic introduction to the sport of gymnastics under the instruction of two (2) of our qualified coaches. A perfect beginner class for the youngest gymnastic enthusiast!
Kindergym
Structured gymnastics class for children between the ages of 3-5 years.
This action packed hour session focuses on the basic beginnings of gymnastics. This fun, energetic program helps to develop dominant movement patterns and basics for skills on different apparatus, which in turn help to create foundations for a variety of different sports.
Recreational
Structured gymnastics class for children between the ages of 5-9 years.
This active, fast paced hour or 90 minute session helps to teach gymnasts more complex gymnastic skills on a variety of equipment. In addition the session focuses on combining dominant movement patterns and skill combinations.
Developmental
Structured gymnastics class for ages 10+
This 2 hour energetic, lively session helps to build on specific skill development. The session helps to build on previous skills and continue in the advancement of new skills, whilst providing a great and fun way to stay fit!
Teen Tumble
STRUCTURED GYMNASTICS SESSION FOR TEENS ONLY.
This 2 hour session helps to provide a great way to stay fit and have fun at the same time! This fun tumbling session teaches gymnast varied tumbling on our sprung floor. The session focuses on the individual needs of the athlete and teaches to their personal level. Helping gymnasts to accomplish new tumbling skills and build on acquired skills.
All programs include rotations on the following equipment:
Vault - Bars - Beam - Floor - Mini Tramp - Pit
Building Skills
Competitive
The Aereo Gymnastics Club has many different programs in place. Evaluations for our competitive programs are done on a continuous basis throughout the year. Children with an aptitude an interest in competitive gymnastics are invited to attend an evaluation class.
The competitive program begins at age 5 and includes pre-competitive, advanced recreation and provincial levels. Aereo's competitive gymnasts have represented the city of Welland at many regional and province-wide meets with much success.
Competitive gymnasts train from 8 to 16 hours per week and have formed lasting friendships with those girls that share their passion for gymnastics.

Parent and Tot
Aereo Gymnastics offers a "Drop-In" Parent and Tot program.
Monday 9:30 am to 11:00 am & 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm
Wednesday* 9:30 am to 11:00 am & 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm
Cost: $3 per parent and child, $1 per additional child up to 6 children.
You are not committed to attend each week. Parents participate in this program by interacting with their children on the gym equipment under the guidance of Aereo Staff.
